The company REDI S.r.l. also offers the service of tampography, a printing process via with a silicone pad for printing on flat, concave, convex o otherwise irregular surfaces.
A cliché is engraved with the form to be printed, and the engraving is covered with ink. The inked engravings are pressed with a pad in silicone rubber which allows it to leave the etched image area in favor of adhering to the pad, and to subsequently release from the pad in favor of adhering to the substrate. At that point the pad gets pressed on the object and the ink is transfered.
